It’s amazing how God can be so real. other days we would not think of experiencing God like that. But being in sot makes everything so.. common. like every other person will feel the Holy Spirit as heat through the back of their neck, electricity through their fingers, and Holy laughter is like our daily conversation language.
I’m not saying that we should always be so super uber spiritual and flaky, but I think it is important for everyone to WANT to experience the Holy Spirit in a greater way. We always pray for a new revelation, or for power to do God’s work. But sometimes we fail to see that only through intimacy, God is able to reveal. Spiritual hunger is so important. It gives u strength. It gives you passion.
I don’t mean i’ll never be tired. in fact now i’m constantly tired. but there’s this wonderful strength that brings me on. It gives u the ability to experience Not by might, not by power, but by the Spirit of God. Sometimes we just try too hard using our own ability. and the very fact is, God WANTS to touch us in a more intimate way. Easier said than done? I think as long as we want it, we can have it.
and that is what i love about going for sot. they submerge you in so much presence, that u can’t help wanting more. more. more.
I only can understand now what David meant when he said One day in His presence is better than a thousand elsewhere. It’s my prayer everyday.
I miss SOT and I want more!
